Where I live we have this grocery store chain that prides itself on being 'local.' It is pretty good I have to say but it can be a little pricy. But they have a sushi bar in the back and they make some of the most amazing little rolls ... some of them have no rice and are all veggies .. and they have the salad that I love ... oh the wonders of good sushi!
Yesterday was a busy day ... Wednesdays are always busy, but they're a good busy. I like mid-week services. But they do make for a very quick and busy day. It started at 5am like almost every other day, only this time I had a project to keep my mind busy and distracted. I was expecting to be contacted by any of the opportunities I have applied for ... who have all said they would be contacting me soon ... who I want to call repeatedly without seeming desperate for a bone ... just throw the dog a bone already ... or tell me no and I'll go on. But the silence ... the waiting ... oh come on! You know what I am talking about! "Don't you judge me Lizzy! Don't you dare judge me!"
Well this is what I have been doing ... thanks Emily for the pieces!
That was a total of two days of sanding, cleaning, sawing, more cleaning, gluing, hole-filling, priming, more sanding, more cleaning, painting, buffing, and painting some more ... measuring was done at some point ... and a whole lot of trailer opening, tool finding, plugging in, and hauling an air compressor to an outlet that had enough juice to keep it on without throwing all of the breakers in the house!
By the way, remember this:
Now its this! (I'm not sweaty, that's the new style down here ... in New Orleans ... I really bought it that way 8B!)
20 lbs!!! 20 to go and a whole lot of exercising to do once I get there!
Food? Breakfast was whole wheat toast and some scrambled eggwhites (rubber spit).
Lunch was some grilled chicken from the other day and a large salad (I love spinach greens).
Dinner was a fruit smoothie. I was so hungry after church that after I regurgitated one of my singers, I bought a tub of hummus (thanks Keira!) and some whole wheat pita and bang! That stuff is good!
Today was also very busy. Last night my youth group surprised me and bought me cake made from ingredients I am allowed to eat (I have no picture). It was a 12 grain whole wheat roll ... with a candle stuck in it. I ate on it for breakfast. Lunch was grilled fish and a salad. Dinner was a very good egg white omelet with all the unrestricted fixings including some new goat cheese bought at that store I was telling you about. It tasted MUCH better .. and I didn't feel like I was licking on a goat.
Now, as I write this, I am thinking about more pita and hummus ... yeah, that's what I'm going to do. Hope you enjoyed my photo journey.
Till next time, thanks for reading!
Isn't it what Homer Simpson says? "Mmmm, hummus..."
